Green coffee is two crops, not one. Arabica — Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru — carries the specialty and blend trade and prices off the New York contract; robusta — Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia, Uganda, India — carries instant and blend volume and prices off London. Grade turns on screen size, defect count per 300g and cup score, and origin differentials against the terminal are where the money in the physical trade actually sits. Virtually all of it moves in 20ft containers, in jute or GrainPro.

The subscription reads the declared record on green coffee's HS headings, keeps the counterparty book of exporters, mills, traders and roasters with the port each works, and audits a proposed trade against the registry's own grade table — screen size, defects, grade — rather than against an opinion. The price basis is the series the registry names, carried with its own print date, and the platform will refuse to score a trade shape it has no basis to judge.
